$6000 for all this on their site. If I didn’t have a project right now I would probably start one with this. Thinking of all the possible swaps that could be had just wondering what RWD transmissions would bolt to it and be able to take this power.
I guess my link wasn’t working? Here it is again:

MIATA MIATA MIATA MIATA MIATA ECOBOOOOOSHT ALL THE MIATAS

I’m thinking Se7en. Caterham has encouraged the non-turbo Duratec engines for a long time, I wonder how easily this would mount up.

A recent Miata transmission might bolt up to this funny enough. IDK how much power they can take though

6K!!!
For $200 more you get this guy a new crate LS3

Seven. Now.

I wonder if this would fit in the Europa ..

About $1,700 less than a crate LS3 for reference., but I don’t think that includes the controller kit.
The LS3 DOES however include ~175 more horsepower, and ~60 lb.ft. more torque. Not sure on weight differences, though I’d expect the 4 banger to be lighter.

Am I in need of more caffeine? where’s the 362 figure coming from?

I’m feeling that a Fiat X1/9 would be terrifying with this.

Here is the info from the website. Looks like 270 + 90 lb-ft.
Production rating of 252 Horsepower @ 5,500 RPM
Production rating of 270 lb. ft. of torque @ 3,000 RPM
When used with Engine Control Pack M-6017-20T and 93 octane unleaded fuel, torque is increased 90 lb. ft at 2800 RPM - with a significant increase up to 4200 RPM. See the power curve for PN M-6017-20T
All-aluminum construction - about 55 pounds lighter than a comparable naturally aspirated V6 engine

typo
![]() 06/03/2015 at 13:55 |

It probably would and it may even be a lighter engine since it’s aluminum. You would need to find a trans that would work and fit. I’m sure it’s possible.
![]() 06/03/2015 at 14:19 |

I know some of the trans would accept the ford Ztec which is a common swap. When I pull the engine in a few weeks I will have to take some measurements. I haven’t looked up to see if the Twin Cam had a different transmission vs the 1.6 sitting in the driveway. Either way 82 Hp - 300HP would be awesome.

Surely a NA Cosworth one would be more suited to that application.
![]() 06/03/2015 at 14:36 |

Yeah but this seems like it could be a lot more fun. And deadly in a car that weights 1400lbs.

OK
haha I was like how do I get THAT option.
![]() 06/03/2015 at 14:45 |

Oh I didn’t realize that was additional with the EC Pack. I figured that was built into the figures to get it to 270

They even thought it through enough that they include the electronic throttle, so you don’t have to route the cable.

ya 362 i meant 360, the 2 was the typo, lol.
![]() 06/03/2015 at 15:06 |

well I don’t want it now that I can’t have 362. That two made the difference.
lol
I bet that would be fun through the front wheels of my 07 Mercury Milan.

I was gonna say this
![]() 06/04/2015 at 00:21 |

I really wish they offered the 1.0 L ecoboost as a crate engine. So many possibilities.
![]() 06/04/2015 at 06:45 |
|
Hmmm, if my weights for the two engines are right the LS3 is 27kg heavier than the 2.0l ecoboost, but I reckon width might be restrictive with the V8 in a decent number of applications...

How do I put this in my FRS? Anyone in the market for a 2.0L Boxer 4?
