Blue Oyster cult-ish metal combined with Nordic despair.
I love this band..

Damn, that’s a good song.
Edit: Was busy on other tabs listening to this song and failed to notice the image and title referencing the Silence of the Lambs. Awesome.

It is good, I don’t know if you’re familiar with the band Ghost.. but if you’re not.. have some more.

I’ve listened to their Infestassumam album quite a few times after a friend of mine showed them to me. Their music has such a cult yet cheesiness to it. They have some great references to them, like opening concerts with the chant from Eyes Wide Shut.
And I like the idea of a band that doesn’t show their faces. It separates the persona from the music.
I had no idea they were releasing a new album.

Yeah. They are releasing their third album now. I love them, it’s METAL AS FUCK and yet it’s not really metal. :)
Cheesy as fuck, but hey.. that’s metal :)

Ironically I’m usually not into cheesy metal.
This band is (so far) the only exception.
Also, is it just me or is the Infestassumam album kinda badly mixed? Sounds like Death Magnetic. Especially the intro song. I thought it was Spotify, but my friend has their CD and it sounds the same.

Yeah, it’s a bad mix. I have the Album and listen to it every other day.. the sound is of.
I’m not THAT into cheesy metal, but metal as a genre is cheesy ;)

Well, at least it’s not just me!
That’s sure. Anyone who takes Metal too seriously makes it look even more cheesy.

I would like to throw my hat into the “I love Ghost” group. I even got my wife to like them. Plus, I got to have the Ghost burger at Kuma’s in Chicago, which was terrific. Here’s a recap of the reaction to it:

I don’t think they’re any cheesier than Slipknot or Mushroomhead, or even early Mudvayne. Their look would make you think they’re more doom metal, but I like the Blue Oyster Cult vibe they have, and Zombie Queen will always be on my phone.

Haha, that’s bloody amazing :)

Aside from the communion wafer which added nothing, it was delicious.
