I’m an 18-year-old college student studying Mechanical Engineering.
Yet all I want to do right now is play with my Legos.
Clearly I can’t into growing up. Fuck it.

Legos are da bomb.

For a second I saw those white chevrons and thought that was the Kinja Express.
Also, I used the Lego Unimog to teach a group of middle school girls the principles of mechanical engineering. There’s no shame. Legos are the penultimate engineering toy. (I’d put Vex a little bit ahead, because it requires a bit more mechanical soundness)

I fail to see a problem here.

There’s no doubt of its utilitarian properties. I just like playing with them.

Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.
And highly over-rated.

Except when it comes to movie ratings.
I remember when being able to watch PG-13 movies was a big deal for me. Then again I watched Rush Hour when I was a little kid.

I love the original faces, the ones with two dots for eyes and a simple smile. Bonus points if they have freckles.

Nothing’s greater than turning 17 and finally being able to see R-Rated movies alone at the theatre.

Ha. What a loser. *looks at shelf* Oh. Nevermind...
The only one currently together is the VW Camper but I have other things that I haven’t taken pictures of.
Lego rat-rod Miata for your time.

I have Legos, nanoblocks, and those metal earth kits at work for when I need a break. I desperately want a Lego F1 kit but haven't found a boyfriend cool enough to buy it for me.

Lego store at Rockefeller Center had a Lego TGV in the Window for a while. I wanted it every time I saw it.

I used to watch this guy’s videos when I was in 8th grade. He has a Lego TGV.

I am a 21 year old mechanical engineering student... and I just flew back to my parents house for a few days solely for the purpose of picking up as many of my Legos as I could fit in two checked bags, because I was tired of not having them to play with. So worry not, you’ve got at least three more years (and hopefully many more) of playing with Legos. that’s what got us into being MechEs in the first place, after all.

I’m in the same boat. 18, ME major, Lego obsession. However. One of my basic engineering courses in design deals solely with those plastic blocks, so I’m in a pretty good way at the moment.

That video is mesmerizing. It seems I could watch it forever

Well, that’s part of growing older. Growing older is awesome until you get to about 25, then you want it to stop. But it doesn’t, it just keeps going.

Dude, I’m 31 and would kill to spend my time playing with Legos.
