I was thinking a Toyota from an Elise would sort of keep it in the family, reliability and it was used in a Lotus. I don’t know what he wants to do with it but I know classic rallies sometimes require an engine used in the manufacturer. I have a 240Z and they won’t allow Chevys ect.

Oh the possibilities! I haven’t gotten to my paint on the 240Z yet. Getting some upgrades right now. I don’t want to cheap out on the paint, its pretty good and original now but I think to help preserve the car I will eventually have to give it a good one. I also want to get rid of my side trim that some cars had, they have rivets so the holes need to be filled. So these are like a boat, you have to get it gel coated? I guess a glass shop is best?

Yes - obviously those original plates must be kept! So cool how the housing fits an old UK style plate perfectly.

I have a really bad idea for one of these, find a rear-ended Nissan Leaf on Copart, swap in entire drive train, claim it is an early Tesla Prototype at car shows. It will be fun trust me.
