Not sure if I’d donate the 05 Fuckus I’m driving, most of the problems are probably due to the fact it has 283000 miles on it and I’m not very gentle with it. I’ll toss in my neighbors truck though. He’s an asshole.

I’m truly sorry.

That said, the new ones aren’t as wretched as the old ones, and are almost competitive, and even offer a few neat features here and there, but nothing compelling enough to consider one over a competitor. I’m extremely picky when it comes to cars, and gm - and VAG, to be fair - don't move my tachometer needle, so to speak.

The last interesting car my Dad bought new was a 71 Mach1. After I hit the ground the fun cars went away. He loves his 2011 Impala though. Mom? Not so much.

No trick. If there is no cap the is no containment of pressure so it can’t go boom. Last time we did a 50:1 gad oil mixture from the snow blower with water added in and it looked like little fireworks.

Can I toss a 2012 Nissan Sentra CVT in there? I used to use Zipcar and sometimes got stuck with a Sentra when nothing else was available in my area. The outside was ugly, the inside was ugly, visibility was not great, and the seats were thoroughly awful no matter how much time you spent adjusting them. And even though the ride was soft and comfortable, one sensed that there was too much unsprung weight (not enough damping?) as the 16” wheels crashed over bumps in an unrefined way.
