Interesting. Didn’t know they came with a stick.

I had a Trailblazer of the same era as a rental, but with a slush box. It was barely adequate. I’m thinking with the gearing and a manual it may actually be kind of awesome.

Perfect candidate for a LS swap, or throw a Cummins in there for the mind fucks

I actually really like that, apart from it being red.

And that it’s total CP.

I never really minded the H3, it was kind of a sign that the HUMMER brand had the potential to be developed into a proper light truck marque instead of one or two impractically large vanity trucks. I like to think that, had things gone differently, the H3 would have been the vehicle that started HUMMER’s transition to a Jeep rival.

YES. Plus the Atlas was a great engine, and loves some boost.

The Atlas is the better engine. Plus it loves boost. Plus it sounds like this:

I want to make a ‘NeoSyclone’ so badly now with one of these.

“Bargain Town” accurately describes the quality of the interiors though :]

Agreed, it was a sign that they didn’t want to make cars for complete douches year round. Wasn’t a bad looking truck at all.

I’m a little V8-Or-Bust when it comes to American cars though.

That’s why they made H3 Alpha’s. 5.3l v8 and locking rear differential, but with a shite 4spd auto. From the reviews having the extra 80hp was nice, but maybe still a little on the low side with the weight of the H3 and the 4spd auto.

Really wish GM Hummer would have started with the H3 instead of the H2, things could have turned out different for the brand andaybr we could have had a true Jeep competitor.

Trust me, I know. I grew up with GM’s. That’s how I also know you don’t want a V8 one, because it’s backed by GM’s 4L-transmission.

A friend of mine had one in stick. It was a lot of fun. You could put it in 4 low and keep your foot on the brake and foot off the clutch and it would not stall.
