I really want one now that I know it is RWD.
It isn’t the prettiest but I like it a whole lot. I just have a thing for RWD wagons.
Too bad its Corolla sized and I wouldn’t fit.

A 2JZ comes stock with one, and you can swap the 2JZ-GTTE into one fairly easily.

I know! It’s awesome, if only they had stayed in production. Though they probably would have gotten the Predator treatment.

Good luck finding one. There’s currently not one on ebay.

There are some on Autotrader but the lowest mileage one is 95K and in California haha. Like I said, it is too small for me. I’ll be happy to get myself a Magnum in a few years.

I've only ever seen 2. One was white and the other was black but had a bunch of stick-on fake chrome bits.

Unfortunate, it seems like a pretty good car.

It looks good too.

To bad 19 out of 20 is300s are automatic. and probly 49/50 for the wagon.

My buddy was looking for one last year when he was replacing his Mazda 6 wagon. Said it was damn near impossible to find a manual in good condition.

Thats because they didn’t make a manual Sportcross.

Truth. My buddy had such a hell of a time finding one last year that he gave up and got a Forester.

I don't know if they even did come in manual, but the sedan did. I'd probably just swap it in.

Well I’ll pass that on to him. We both thought there had been a manual offered.

Mustafasluigi says they did not. A swap would probably be easy enough, relatively speaking.

yeah I looked for one for a while. I didn’t find two in a 300 mile range, but one was heavily modified and the other, the sell wanted a ton of cash for it because it was stock and manual. Like 9 grand for an 02 with 160,000 miles.

manual was not an option for the sportcross. if you do find a manual one it has been swapped otherwise youre gonna be looking for a long time because they weren’t made that way in wagon form

Lol its pretty much the opposite here in Germany . Almost all manual, though those are IS200s.

Best car I have owned to date; my reasoning?
1. Bulletproof silky smooth straight 6 2jz-ge
2. RWD with Torsen LSD
3. Comfortable seating for 4 (fits 5 in a pinch) + Dog under the hatch
4. All seats fold 60/40 except driver’s
5. Very predictable at the limit with double wishbones on all four corners
6. Extremely rare with only 3000 produced for the North American market
7. Enormous potential (think 2jz-gte + supra 6 speed)
FYI the IS300 Sportcross was never offered from the factory with a manual transmission; doesn’t mean it can’t be done though ;)
