With Bimmerfest 2015 now in the books and it has been the biggest event in there 11 year history, bigger and better was the agenda over the weekend and boy did it deliver.

With vehicles turing up from all corners the united states it was quiet the treat.

Most braved the long wait time in the early parts of the morning to get a good spot, and with record numbers a lot of owners we asked to park way in the back of the infield or even in the main parking lot outside of the infield, it was BMW’s as far as the eye could see. All sorts of interesting and highly modified bmws showed on saturday to the point were you could not see it all in one day even if you tried, there was everything from a 1970 BMW 700 sports coupe to the newest 2015 M4’s and every model in between.

The guys over at Bimmerheads brought down there personal rides, sporting some new additions.

The parking lots overflowing from the insane to the showroom ready but there were two vehicles that defiantly caught my eye.

This 2001 E38 740i was not like an other e38 i have seen, more importantly it had a mysterious 3rd pedal, and a shifter sporting a M badge, something didn’t seem to add up. After swinging around to the engine bay it became all to clear that this was a master piece. There in-between the shock towers sat a S62 V8 directly from a E39 M5, complete with 6 speed and the M5’s LSD rear end, talking with the owner was a blast and he walked me threw the whole swap and it showed in the finished product that was the perfect blend of style and brute power.

I am a true sucker for an early 2000’s BMW, nothing hits the spot more then this next car. I have never seen one in person and only seen pictures via the internet, the people over at Mission Collision and Motoring brought a draw dropping example of a E39 M5 estate, a car that was never sold here in the states and a car that in my eyes is one of the best looking cars ever made. I personally own a e39 m5 that i love, but i would give it up in a heart beat for a wagon. MCM had this m5 looking mint, from the interior to the engine bay and everything in between this car was the definition of clean, you could drop this car off at any BMW dealer and put it on the showroom no questions asked, it was that good.

With all the new f-chassis at Bimmerfest the paddock was exploding with all the aftermarket companies bringing at least 2 or 3 f-chasiss. No shortage of M3/M4 were to be had, from track prepped to big horsepower and every form of stancing it was quiet amazing. I really enjoy the new styling of the F80 and grows on me more every time i see it.

Being at Fontana’s Auto club speedway gave the venue a great boost this year as well, allowing the drivers to not only bring there car out to show but a handful were able to get onto the track and get some laps in at on the auto clubs circut a first for Bimmerfest. All day long there was racing providing a great view for the spectators, nothing better then hearing rev limiters while looking at the best BMW’s this side of the Mississippi.

Bimmerfest 2015 was a total joy seeing the BMW community come together in such a mass gathering and makes me looking forward too next years festival even more. There was a huge amount of early cars present this year but no model was in more prevalence then the E30, in every flavor imaginable coupe, sedan, wagon, and even pickup truck i couldn’t believe it, until next year Bimmerfest thanks for everything this year and big thanks to the volunteers and all the participating vendors that helped make this possible.

Hmm,

the car is too low for my taste, but those rims...

They look weird and wrong on the E39.

So, of course I want them!
