So I just found a problem with my car. The immobilizer is keeping the car from recognizing any of my keys. The battery is brand new and the LEDs on my keys flash when I press the buttons, but nothing happens. The doors won’t unlock, the trunk won’t open, and nothing happens when I put the key in the ignition.

It’s a bone-stock 2004 Accord.

UPDATE: My brand new battery is reading .42 volts. FUCK.

Volvo P1800 for your time.

Dome light on with door open or all the time? (Leads to next question: Dead battery?)

Did it work after you changed the battery or did that cause this? You can check your manual for the key sync proceedures if changing the battery made it lose it's memory

It’s been about two months since I got the battery. It worked fine before but now it’s reading extremely low voltage. Either the battery is defective or I have some ambient electricity drain somewhere.

brand new but drained... look for something drawing power when car is off! (just saw your .42V update)
