Some of the media loves a certain car so much that the car is automatically associated with them when you hear it. So which car applies to which website/mag and why?
I’d say the Accord is automatically identifiable with Car and Driver. Sure, the 3 Series can also be applied, but C&D has given all US built Accords a 10Best award, even when Honda churned out some iffy Accords.
And of course, Jalopnik with brown manual diesel RWD wagons/Miatas/Volvo bricks.

Porsches with Road & Track. It’s not their fault Porsche builds some ridiculously good cars, but they are regularly accused of playing favorites.

A lot of people say certain magazines/car show always seem to favor/keep down certain cars. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed this. Apart from the fact that many outlets are getting sick of Ferrari, but that’s because Ferrari of late have become a bunch of immature little kids when it comes to the media and their cars.

Car and Driver and Motor Trend are just as bad. Any time they test a midsizer the 6 gets brought up at least twice.

The Brazilian edition of Car & Driver has a thing for Corvettes. The C6 in all its variations is the single most featured car and the one with the most covers, as well as the yardstick by which they compare everything. There's even a running joke among readers that C/D Actually stands for Corvette Drivers.
