GRC Seattle event dropped?

I was wanting to purchase tickets to go see the Global Rallycross in Seattle. Last year’s event was pretty exciting and the venue at Dirtfish Rally School is pretty awesome. I noticed however that the link for tickets I had is not working and the event is no longer listed on GRC’s webpage. I haven’t found any announcement saying that the event has been dropped but I’m beginning to think that is the case. That would be a shame since I was really looking forward to attending that event later this summer.

I would have expected the DirtFish event to have been the most secure of them all. Not really any chance of a schedule conflict with another event. If it was lost I can only imagine it was due to some sort of backroom dispute on terms that couldn’t be solved.

I am surprised that the Seattle event was apparently dropped as well.

What surprised me even more was GRC having their first event near my back yard (Ft. Lauderdale Beach). I’m not sure what the turn out will be, but I plan on being there on Sunday. I’m stoked.

Yup I remember seeing that schedule but now it doesn’t show a Seattle event on the GRC website.

Should be a cool event. I’m surprised GRC is starting their season so late in the year.

Well I’m holding on to my hopes till I see some sort of announcement of the event being cancelled. After having to miss Oregon Trail and Olympus I am in need of seeing dirt sliding race action.
