And her body is gorgeous.
Yes I need to get better photography skills but I can fill more requests next time I’m there! I have more but kinja won’t let me upload them.

Not sure if my bucket list has “naked in a McLaren” or “In a naked McLaren.”

Naked in a naked McLaren?

Q1: What’s going on with these cross tubes?
Q2: What the hell kinda job you got where you’re constantly surrounded with awesome stuff?
![]() 05/23/2015 at 19:17 |

I’m guessing the tubes have something to do with it being magnetic suspension
![]() 05/23/2015 at 19:17 |

Specifically which cross bars?
And I just happen to be near these things geographically a lot and know people who tip me when things are in certain places.

The tubes connect each side of the hydraulic suspension’s accumulators. The compression valve on one side connects to the rebound valve on the other side, and vice-versa.
Imagine you’re in a sweeping bend. Naturally, the body wants to roll toward the outside, and this causes the outer shock to compress while the inner one grows. With this system, the pressure rise in the outer shock is re-routed across the car so it can repel the extension of the inner one, and vice-versa. But this only works if the hoses are “cross-wired”, rebound to compression.

It’s a hydraulic system, not magnetic.

they ditched the mag suspension for this one?
![]() 05/23/2015 at 20:22 |

That’s actually a chassis from a 12C.
![]() 05/23/2015 at 20:22 |

It never had a magnetic suspension. It has always been a hydraulic one.

I was referring to the previous mclaren before it, sure I remember clarkson saying it had magnetic suspension
![]() 05/24/2015 at 09:28 |

Is it? What’s the determining factor?
![]() 05/24/2015 at 12:49 |
|
The fact that it doesn’t have the new top mounts on the hydraulic accumulators. This is an image of a 650S chassis:
Do you see the circular little devices that are sitting right next to the braided lines? That’s them.

Are you referring to the McLaren MP4-12C or F1?
If the F1, then that utilized a traditional suspension due to the weight savings associated with it and the fact that advanced suspension technology hadn’t been fully developed yet.
If the 12C, then it also never had a magnetic suspension. Read this: http://www.caranddriver.com/features/the-a…
As for Clarkson, I assume you’re referring to 1:25 of this video:
However, if you watch it again, he never mentions anything about a magnetic suspension.

yeah was referring to the mp4-12c but if that didn’t then what car did around that time :/
![]() 05/24/2015 at 14:17 |

I believe the Ferrari 458 and Corvette ZR1 were the only ones to utilize magnetic suspensions around that time.
![]() 05/24/2015 at 16:50 |

probably was thinking of the ferrari then

That makes since.

Ah good catch. That and wheels I suppose.

A1: Hydraulic suspension.
