My car has just passed 36k miles (almost done 1k in it now) and is on it’s original plugs. I’m going to pull them later to see what sort of shape they’re in but if they look okay is it worth changing them?

Kinja'd!!!

I have no idea what the recommended intervals are for this car since the previous owner lost the service book and google was no help.

Most modern cars are 50k, if not 100k. I'd wait until 50 if they look all right especially if the car is running normal.

The car runs like new so should be fine to leave them then. Just want to make sure I keep up with servicing and look after this car since I plan to keep it a while.

My Mazda calls for new plugs at 75,000 miles. I replaced them at 72,000 because I found the ones I needed on sale. And the OEMs were just starting to show signs of wear.

I haven’t looked into it to be honest. I asked the dealer for the oil, filter and timing belt intervals so not too bothered. The main manual has the service stamps in so I have the service history at least.
