Have a Ford Corcel. It was made in America from 1968 to 1977 and was based on, as you would expect, the Renault 12.

It was replaced by the Ford Versailles which naturally enough was based on the VW Santana.

In an unexpected move, the Versailles was replaced by the Mondeo which is actually a Ford.

Brazil is in America.

Huh. A Ford Renault. I wasn’t aware of that one. I actually like it. It really does look like, well, a Ford-ized Renault 12. How common were/are they? I would imagine they made a bunch of them in 9 years.

It was the best selling car in Brazil at one stage so the answer is they made lots.
