So I made this comment on the $30,000 mid-size eBay challenge. And it seemed to have made everyone angry.
As far as I’m concerned, if it’s the same engine design with a few changes, it’s the same engine.
Here’s what Wikipedia says.
And I know Lambo used a 5.2 V10 in the newer Gallardos, so it is the same engine.
I’m making a new tag called “FP Shenanigans” so you can post the hate with your comments.

While I agree that the FP shenanigans can be obnoxious, they’re right that these aren’t the same engine.

To add more clarity to my comment, I think this line from Wikipedia is the one you really want. Of course they’re related, but it’s not quite honest to call them the same:

I know it isn’t technically and that they made some modifications to it, but I don’t appreciate people yelling at me for missing a small detail.

At the same time, you’ve made it a habit to make kinda pedantic jokes on the FP and then complain about the FP being what it is by making posts on oppo whining about your results. Maybe if you stopped making comments that are meant to be a bit instigating, you wouldn’t get these responses. You made a name for yoruself really damn fast for it this week. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, there’s this and this and this from your oppo posts this past week. I’d go through your discussions but then all context is removed and it takes too much effort to go through and sort out what’s what.
