I remember playing this game, played it up to a point where I needed to put spinners on my car in order to progress. I uninstalled it then and there and have never played it since.

I’d point you towards The Iso Zone, but their file hosting servers are down at the moment. I’m partway through a no ricing playthrough with the HD texture mod .

The comments on the teaser make me wonder, do the more rabid fans have some kind of fountain of youth stashed in their basement or something? Doesn’t look like they’ve matured since 2004...

That game did such a wonderful job at conveying a sense of speed. I love the shaking and blur effects once you push it over 120. Then you give it the bottle ...

You don’t have to play like that... there are some challenges and secret easter eggs that let you upgrade the car with more tasteful mods. OR you could bastardize one car and let it be your “cool points” base and have other, much less modified cars (modified only in their go-fast bits) for actual racing.

Yeah it definitely does a better job of making you feel like youre going fast than new NFS games (looking at you Rivals).
