Nice find. I didnt know that Japan was into cars with gasifiers. Was the rear seat replaced with a storing place for fuel? My friend has a 70s Jeep with wood fired gasifier and running out of space for the sacks of wood chips seems to be an issue.

I tried looking it up, and it seems its a modern recreation of an old vehicle? (well the gas system is a modern recreation) You can go for free rides during the running season. It appears the original one may be on display at the train station. I dont really know Japanese so thats as much as I could make of what I could find. Very interesting.
