I will not be able to see this race live sadly, as I will be in the middle of the wilderness celebrating the memorial day holiday. Yet, unlike most internet users I will not complain about spoilers, because I am a realist and I usually get through the race in brief 20-30 minute stints after my wife has fallen asleep after dinner. So, enjoy some images from F1 Fanatic UK. Man , I wish I worked in marketing or communications for F1.....

I was wondering what that was for. I thought it was some sort of camera mount or session data analyzer.

\Though a big fan of F1, I am woefully uninformed about so much of the sport.

No, not at all. In fact I am positively gobbling them up trying to learn more and more. I love how form follows function in just about everything, but I do wish that they had at least one crazy race where all the rules be damned the constructors could do WHATEVER they wanted.

Yeah, they’re cooling slats for to get more air to the radiators and engine. If you look at Button’s car he’s got them on both sides of the cockpit, yet Alonso has just the one. Interesting to say the least.

It’d be awesome but it would like cost a lot of money for such a one off event.

A good place to learn more about technical upgrades is F1Technical.net forums. Each car has a thread showing pictures of everything, really neat. I’m particularly following the SF-15T as I’m a Ferrari fan. Neat seeing how the cars change through the season.

I think i need to find a “Reddit: For Dummies” Sticky somewhere. I am always getting into things on the internet years and years after everyone else has been on it. So then I get to be the annoying nnoob asking questions while the old timers are just about to walk out the door to start something new. Although, I have been a jalop since 2005 so...at least I’ve got that going for me.
