I know the Jalopmeter has been well covered here but I want a competition damnit. No cars, no crossovers, no go-peds or mo-pros or what have you. Just pickup trucks. Compact trucks, mini trucks, midsize trucks, fullsize trucks, heavy duty trucks. If it doesn’t have a bed (or bed provisions) keep your numbers to yourself (for now, more “How Jalop is Your X” coming soon!)

Jalop - not in the best shape, may have some modified items (in a odd way) for function purposes, semi rare to rare, loved by primarily enthusiasts but not by the general public, and usually with some odd engine that isn’t too common.

example. 2015 Audi RS7- not Jalop. 1964 Trabant 600 Universal- Jalop

the F100 gets 175

the 1990 F150: 135

The F100 was really too Jalop, though. No power steering, no power brakes, and drums front and rear. Combine that with no power and super low gears, and you get a really unpleasant driving experience.

225 points! Here’s my truck. No pickup bed but you can almost fit a sheet of plywood in the massive trunk. It’s tough as nails, has the same chassis underpinnings as the 1/2 ton 2WD pickups from the early 70’s to the mid 90’s. My uncle pulled a 30’ travel trailer with it, now I use it for my car trailer. It slumbered for about 10 years, when I brought it back to life and got it running reliably again I realized that I had no need for my Yukon XL, so I sold that... and this is my truck!

Pulls car trailer fully loaded with ease...

Bonus points because it has 3 ashtrays and 4 bondo patches!

It’ll be even nicer once the rest of it is put together. 400hp a close ratio four speed and a nine inch with 4:11s and a Detroit locker will be all sorts of fun. All wrapped in a Calypso Coral, (read Orange) Ranchero. It even has hide away headlights!

‘06 Sierra crew cab RWD, 110 points. Would’ve been 100, but then I remembered I had a cheap bodyshop replace the right rear quarter after I jack-knifed my utility trailer into it. For the price I payed there has got to be some bondo in there.

My dads S-10 is Jalop. Needs paint job, I work on it every now and then, it’s manual, manual everything, etc. :D Even windshield wipers were manual for a while.

130 points, but in my defense, there are no options for 2-tone or mismatched camper shells, which should be worth another 15-20 points. Also, cupholders shouldn’t count if you lose them with a seat folded up.
