I just found out that Nissan made and sold a Y61 patrol 3 door.
So weird looking today. Could you image getting passed by thing on the road?

If you lower it enough it would be one of the greatest shooting brakes...
...quick someone shop this!

Not much room to lower it with 2 great solid axles in the way. However it does have coils springs on all 4 corners, and I6 up front and a manual trans in the middle. Sounds perfect.

Imma just leave this right hurr.
(Of course none of them have that loooong back window like the Patrol.)

I’ll see your Pajero and raise you a grundle of 70 series 3 doors (with removable tops!)

Toyota do one too. Have a Landcruiser.

Only 7 more years until I can import a Pajero Evolution !

Is it just that it’s a 2-door Nissan? Because 2-door SUVs aren’t exactly uncommon.

correction, 2 door suv’s USED to be common. Also, something about the proportions just make it look funny...like a toy.

I still see a few on the roads. I think it’s that back tire making it look funny. If it was moved back a bit, it would probably look normal.

haha i was joking. the first image does look like it has a cut/paste line thru the window. I can;t imagine that thing being very stable with such a short wheelbase.

yeah, its got wagon hangover on 2 door body. its...odd.

Kinda looks aftermarket, like someone took a torch to the frame and chopped a few feet out of the middle.

exactly.

This kills me. Why can’t the US get the three door off roaders? We’ve gotten them in the past. I know the patrol never came here, but the Montero did in all iterations. As for the 70 series, I have found myself more than once looking through the Land Cruisers Direct website....

Thats where most of these come from. They are in amazing condition.

I had a S-10 blazer 2 door in the mid-90s. It was a great little vehicle. Could fit almost anywhere, and the 4x4 system worked like a charm.

I think the 2 door Prados look really nice. I have no doubt you could sell them in the US

I'm fascinated by the PTO winches on many of them. The bumpers are ridiculous, but a PTO winch would be nice.

I just talked to Kurt Williams about his new HJ62 with PTO winch he bought, he said its never been used but he likes using them on other trucks.

Very cool 60. I've read on the 70 board on mud that people pull off the PTO for a normal winch. I guess it would allow you to use a high clearance bumper, but that's the only real benefit I can think of.

Portal axles mounted upside down and cut the fenders. Boom, lowered!

There has to be a Colombian import amog those, Toyota sold them in Colombia until 2008 without a major change they are beautifully ugly, I love them.

Nope, all from Japan. Wouldn’t matter if they still made them there 25 year import rule and all means they would still just be 25 years old.

don’t think they sold that body style here in Oz.
