5M/1M is $29.99/month which is about the best price I could find for stand alone service.

Lol you’re about to hate me... 35$/mo for Google Fiber, so 1GB up/down. Although Time Warner (Read:Crime Warner) offers 100M for $45/mo for those who aren’t privy to Google Fiber around the area

I use my phone’s Wifi Hotspot. Around 15M/5M for $30/month unlimited data. Hotspot is free via rooting and hacking.

Mines only like $30/month but since I have 3 services with them (phone, internet, tv) I pay $10/month extra and get unlimited data. Not sure what the exact speeds are but it’s pretty quick.

Comcast, ~$45/mo standalone for 12dn/4up. It’s shit and overpriced but better than CenturyLink

I pay $67/month for that. Probably because I don’t pay them for cable TV.

Evil Comcrap provides cable internet, and incompetent BellSouth provides very slow DSL.

$67/month to Comcrap for 25/5, and I have my own modem.

I too don’t have cable. It was part of a 2-year plan as a first-time Comcast buyer. In October I’ll switch over to Verizon FiOS and get their 2-year introductory plan.

Otherwise known as “How Comcast screws over their customers”

I also don’t have any choices besides BellSouth and Comcrap. And they know that.

I pay $127/mo for Charter 60 Mbps internet, tv, and landline phone. The tv service sucks, particularly the dvr, and the only reason I have the landline is it would’ve been more expensive to go without.

Internet’s solid though.

$106/month for 200/20 service.

Well that’s shitty. I’ve got Verizon or Comcast. Verizon was bonkers expensive compared to Comcast when we moved over a year ago.

This would be my next option at $40/month.

Honestly, I hate Charter tv service.

The dvr is wonky as hell for many reasons that aren’t worth listing. The menus are the same as the cable box I had in 2003. The app which is supposed to let you remotely set recordings on the dvr never actually works for setting a recording.

The picture quality is technically HD but there’s so much compression artifacting and image noise it looks terrible, especially when you’re watching something dark. Watching the same show on tv vs. Netflix thru my PS3 looks 10x better on Netflix.

I had Charter internet and Dish tv at my old place. Through a quirk in my lease at my current place I wasn’t able to keep Dish. The only other options for tv were TDS and AT&T but both of those are IPTV so you have to get internet from them as well, and Charter’s internet is way better.

Literally the only reason I have Charter tv is it was my only option. As soon as that’s no longer the case, see ya.

But yeah, the internet is good.

Bill comes to $97 taxes included, for 5mbps down, 0.8 mbps up, and unlimited usage. I’m currently looking to switch it.

EDIT: With Bell Canada

$31/month for all the cable channels you can have, 105 down/25 up and phone service. And a 20% discount on any PPV/VOD I order. Sometimes it’s nice to work for the cable company. It would only be $17 if the GF didn’t want a house phone.
