What’s funny is there is about $20,000 invested into the Buick and $11,000 into the Mercedes

Is that the Twin Charged 3.8? If not, how is there 20k in it?
![]() 05/21/2015 at 10:44 |

Well, the Buick does have a twincharged 3800 making around 700-odd hp on race fuel...

CNC milled adaptor plates are a wonderful thing. GT500 supercharger plopped on a Buick V6 with high-strength pistons and rods. We’re going for the 3800 Series II HP record, which I believe is currently 800hp or so set by ZZ Performance.

That’s a tall order. Good luck! What have they done to the transmission?

man, I gotta see this in person

We still have a lot of work to do. It has water-air intercooling on the supercharger, a massive air-air intercooler for the turbo, water/meth injection, etc.
It’s an obscene amount of systems to get working together, but right now we’re chasing ALL of the boost leaks.

Drilled a few holes and mounted up a 4T80e with a custom-made limited-slip differential. Then we had some computer wizard hack together a PCM tune that can control it properly

Did someone fabricate a water box?

Reading the comments and realizing that Buick might be the best sleeper ever built.
