It hasn’t gotten that much attention since it finished production; I think between the classically gorgeous 456 and bonkers FF, it’s a bit forgotten. I realize most people think it’s a bit…uh…different, from the front, but I don’t care because I think it looks flawless from the side and back.
Anyways, are they considered a good drive? Reliability nightmares or no? Anything really incredible or terrible about it one way or another, compared to other Ferraris? They’re now probably 1/3rd the price they were when new.
Edit: Hah, just found this. Looks like James May thought it was magnificent back in 2009. That’s what I seem to recall reading at the time…understated and elegant. I just wonder if in hindsight people feel the same about the car, now that time has passed.

The 612 was coach-built like a traditional Ferrari and is one of my favorites.

I always thought they were very sharp looking, understated cars.

The 575 is considered one of the first modern and reliable F-cars, and I’m pretty sure the 612 shares at least the motor and transmission, so it should be reliable as well. It probably also shares the problem with the finish on the interior soft touch plastics (i.e., the buttons degrade and feel terrible on your fingers), but there is a relatively inexpensive fix for that.

I’ve always found it ugly. Bulbous proportions, mostly boring details except for the derpy front end, too-small wheels and too much wheel gap.
