So I’m browsing eBay for E30’s after reading Jack Baruth’s piece about them from a few weeks ago. Sadly, not much came up, but then I spotted !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for a 323i. It says “read description”. Okay. Then I see this:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Check out the bed:
And the sweet hood graphics:
I really like that it still has a huge sunroof.
Seller claims that it was 1 of 2 modified for a dealer in Heidelberg. A bit of looking around shows that it’s been making the rounds on Craigslist for awhile now and most famously, featured on our own !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in January. Seller seems firm on price; it hasn’t been dropped a dollar in five months or more. Even if you were to buy it for anything near asking price, it seems a shame to put more miles on it after only having accumulated just over 3k in 33 years.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Seller has a tried to sell a bunch of big machining stations... and a weird-ass BMW. And not sold any of them.
So in conclusion, I went on the internet and found this thing.

It’s kinda pricy considering how.... how interesting it is. I kinda dig the idea of a pickup e30.

Totally. I guess it’s kinda hard to judge the value of it, but since it hasn’t sold in at least five months on the market, I guess $17k is too much.
Given that, I feel like maybe $12k is more reasonable. If nothing else it’s a mint, ultra low mile, early E30. I suppose if there’s lots of documentation of it’s creation and early life, that would add some value.
And there are a fair amount of custom E30 pickups out there. I agree that it’s pretty cool. Like a grown up Rabbit pickup.

It’s so great. It’s so overpriced. But it’s so great.

I was about to say “not too expensive, considering,” then I noticed that it has no air-conditioning. Pretty neat otherwise.
