My life has been a shit show for the past month. I put 100% I have into everything I do, I’m one to never give up and to never put in a half attempted effort. Tonight, my roomate’s dog spilled a glass of water on my 3000$ laptop which I need to run all 5 of my side businesses and is refusing to pay.
I’ve reached the line, so far I’ve had to spend over 8000$ on repairing and replacing things like my phone, tickets, multiple bicycle repairs, medical bills from bicycle crashes (heathcare isnt always free up here in Canada) .. etc and now my laptop (note none of this is going to apartment/car/appliances etc). I look to the positive in everything but I haven’t caught a break in over a month, even work is a complete clusterflubb..
I need a reason to smile, so post a car that makes you smile :) let’s see if it rubs off, here’s mine.

Seeing an MG or any other old sports car usually makes me pretty happy.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Thanks, it’s life. Life isn’t easy but at least there’s cars ;)
YES! So much YES. How do I not have a Citroen in my life yet?
![]() 05/19/2015 at 23:58 |

So far every time I’ve seen one of these I get a stupid grin on my face.

My own. It’s the type of vehicle you can go out into a field or forest and turn into a punching bag, and it will take every lick with a smile and a rev.

Obligatory Wagon because this is Oppositelock.
But this is a post on Tumblr that I always read when I get sad or am just down. It’s for a situation much more serious, but I always get happier when I read it.

Haha, it screams fun. I just picture it replacing the ST in the SUV version of the video below

That is a gracious picture.

P1s make me happy.

It’s honest. And not too sexy, but it gets the job done.

I saw it in your post and I thought it could really be useful here. Such a happy little thing! Like a loyal dog.

Yes, that face says “Hey, you’ll be alright”

Thanks for the post, I’m digging it but yes, wagons are mandatory and lovely. Long live the long roofs!
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:06 |

I wouldn’t want to live in one, but I would for sure like to have one at some point. And it has to have tye-dye curtains. Either one of those or a Thing

I don’t take it out nearly enough, but it reminds me of why I chose a slow, loud, and bouncy Toyota as my first car, when I do. After 3.5 years, it still hasn’t got old. Okay, merging gets old, but this is a take the long way around vehicle, because the best journeys are the ones where you get somewhat lost. Where I’m moving, I’ll have plenty of winding dirt roads to ring it out on!
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:07 |

Step 1: Move out
Step 2: Sue roommate in small claims court or whatever the Canuckistanian equivalent is
Step 3: Use winnings to purchase new laptop and something else you like
Step 4: Profit, happily

Mean, green, and clean Oldsmobiles do the trick for me.

Green is such an underrated color these days ... wagons too <3

Porsche 944 Turbo always makes me happy. I’ve always wanted one so bad.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:11 |

I wish haha, I live in a province with Civil law (US and rest of Canada has common) so its virtually impossible to win in my case.
Moving out is something I’m considering.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:12 |

Enjoy those roads then my friend. I’m extremely jealous and wish I had a 4x4 myself haha.

Renter’s Insurance?

This wild box from Thailand makes me happy whenever the owner posts it in the Cube pages.
Just dump all of your moneys into your car instead, it’s way more fun. Trust me, I’m an expert.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:13 |

One of those > a Thing haha.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:14 |

Actually yea, I have renters insurance for water damage too. Wouldnt my premium go up a lot though?
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:15 |

Hehe, I’d love to do that to a first gen Bb (xB in America) and throw a LS motor in the back.

The Singer porsche makes me happy. I know that the one time I saw it, it easily was cooler than the P1, Huayra, Ferrari TheFerrari, 918 Spyder, and LFA parked a few spots down. Definitely smiled the most when it started up out of all of them.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:17 |

I will! It definitely isn’t a corner carver, but it elicits a different kind of joy and thrill, one that I haven’t found in a sports car yet.

I dunno, pages 5-7 of this random PDF I found make it seem like you might have a chance.*

Might be simpler to toss in a K series motor and mod the poop out of it. Another Cube owner did it -

Morgan, Marcos Mantula, and 240Z for your troubles

An old sports car nearly always brings a smile to my face. I've shared this before, but here is one of my favorite pictures of me in my 914 at mid-ohio. Sorry for your run of bad luck. Hang in there, it will get better.

Exactly how I feel about my baby. 240,00 miles about 2000 miles now since a accident rook her off the road. Gone trough way more abuse, dirt, mud, ad jumps than it was ever meant to take and it’s never not started(needs a jump or push now tho since the battery doesn’t hold a charge.)
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:55 |

All the switches are fun. The fact that they are in a car with an ancient Garrett turbo strapped to it is nice too.

I think this may be my favorite Civic on earth...

This might be a weird one, but lately the new 200, especially the S model. Ivery time I see one I think “man that’s a good looking boring mid sized sedan.”
and there is a Guard colored new F-150. I’m diggin’ that. hard to find a good picture of it tho

mine too

The Astra G.
1.8L in-line four. 93kW.
What’s special about it? Nothing.
That’s precisely why it makes me happy. The Astra did everything it was asked to do properly and happily. It was an honest car that felt solid, that pointed where you wanted it to go and had a dynamic feel that let you know what it was doing. Everything inside the car came to hand properly and like so many German engineered cars, the ergonomics were perfect.
It also has one of the nicest aesthetically pleasant looking taillight clusters of any car on the road.
Some of us never get to own Supercars but when you get a company like Bertone who gave is the BMW 3200 CS, Aston Martin DB2/4 and Lamborghini Urraco, then give us a family hack, you get one that’s pretty enough.
And the fact that the Astra G gave us BTCC Champions for four years in a row from 2001-04.

That dog sounds like a real asshole, not manning up and paying for the laptop. Hopefully my unabashed grammatical humor (which isn’t meant to be a passive aggressive nod to your first paragraph) and this beauty will cheer ya up.
According to Homer, the engine sound causes people to think “the world’s coming to an end.”
There are three horns, as Homer claims that “you can never find a horn when you’re mad.” The three horns play the song “La Cucaracha.”

Used to live near a mall that had a Lambo dealer and they kept a car parked on display outside. I spent hours drooling over them.

Edit: I think I may have misinterpreted the question

Mmmmm, I still love the Gallardo more than I do the Hurrican, I just can’t get over how amazing it is.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 09:48 |

Wonderful message! I agree, the name, the cost or the horsepower isn’t what makes the car special. I’m still in love with the Chevy Cruze, I had one for a week last summer and had a blast in it.
I put the car’s first 3000km on it in a week taking it rallying, off roading through a silver mine, long road trip, auto cross, everything actually. It did it all perfectly.
![]() 05/20/2015 at 09:49 |

I’m diggin the color too. The 200 makes me smile too but I’m still not sure why.

Because it replaced the Seabring/200.

Its a good anti theft system too. The ignition key doesn’t actually start the car.
