I have a problem in the form of a heavy, RWD, V8 large sedan with badass looks and a playskool interior.
I want one dammit. I need some V8 and actual interior room in my life.

I get those urges sometimes too. Drive an old one. The urge will go away.

I’d say go with the seventh generation one.

I went out and bought a DeVille that has been customized by Dunham Coach to cure those urges.

I did recently and it only made the want worse. I have a thing for big, comfortable sedans with lazy engines. All of which the Charger does really fuckin’ well.

I’ll just leave this here

Do you also have a thing for stiff, rough suspensions? If so the Charger/300 is the right car for you.

If you think the suspension on those is stiff and rough, you’d think the suspension on my car had solid shocks.

He’d think mine didn’t have shocks at all!

Let me make that need increase with 707 hp.

The suspension in a 1st gen 300C was rougher than the suspension in my ‘03 Yukon. Then again, GM makes some of the best suspensions so maybe it’s a lot better.
The first LX Charger/300 also likes to eat through ball joints and tie rods as fast as it possibly can.

If the Hemi in my ‘05 Grand Cherokee is any indication, be prepared to consistently buy little things like EGR valves, spark plugs, throttle position sensors, and oxygen sensors.
Also not sure how the mileage in the Charger is but my Jeep gets 11-12 mpg.

You sound terminal then...
![]() 05/20/2015 at 00:16 |

Oof, and these have 16 spark plugs..
I’d really hope that it would get better gas mileage than a 4WD Grand Cherokee that’s (IIRC) ran mostly in the winter time when gas mileage is shitty in most cars anyway from the gas blend.

Basically if the EGR goes bad it takes the plugs with it. In addition to there being 16, they’re an overly-convoluted coil-on-plug setup. The other stuff was unrelated.
For mileage, you are correct, and I also have tires that are 1” taller than stock and much heavier. It was more like 12-13 mpg before the tires.

Aye.
Nothing too special, but they handled the pin striping, padded faux leather top, gold layered badges, wheel arches, and wheels (each with all 5 lug locks.)

My dad had an 06’ Torred Daytona edition. Stupid decals and a plasticy interior but that Hemi sounds great and the R/T and SRT8 models are getting seriously cheap. Ride quality was average, I wouldn’t call it uncomfortable, and for the 3 years we had it it never missed a beat. Drove like shit in the snow on sporty all-seasons though...

Find a way to get one of those to me in the U.S. and I'll buy it

An SS is on the impossible side of expensive. A G8 though, that could be possible.

That’s awesome looking! How’s it drive?

the acceleration is relaxed, the handling can best be described as “existent", but the noise that Northstar makes is heavenly.

The Northstar alone is enough to make me lust after an old ETC
