The MkIV Supra looks derpy as fuck.

I like it except for the rear haunches. They’re just too wide for the rear fascia and it looks weird.

HAND IN YOUR JALOP CARD. DOOR IS OVER THERE, RIGHT NEXT TO THE SCREW YOU.

Agreed. Where it’s nowhere near the performance level, the MkII/III Supras are by far my preference. I almost bought a beat-to-shit III for a grand just to flog but it was a bit too far gone for even that (The wonders of Japanese steel in the rust belt).

An individual known as Paul Walker would disagree. (but he can’t unfortunately)

I think of a mk IV every time I see a Tiburon. And not in a good way.

I think it looks better modified.

VR4 was prettier:

Nah, I think I’ll keep it.

Bruh. Popup headlights.

I agree it doesn’t look that good. Certainly not as good looking as it’s rival from down the street:

R33 GT-R is the best-looking GT-R.

It’s not a car that has aged well, but it has a heart of gold!

When I was a wee lad back in ‘00 I picked up a “Max Power” magazine from a local Borders. September of ‘00 to be precise. In it they talked of the Mk IV Supra. Here’s a quote :)
“The Supra is shamed like a feminine hygiene product... a twin-turbo tampon.”
I’ve never forgotten that line, mostly because at the time I was very, very in love with the 300ZX TwinTurbo :) In stock form it’s not particularly attractive looking but with some subtle modification it can be alright.

That’s a ‘99 VR4, or at least the body stuff is, the earlier stuff is nowhere near as good looking.

I have always thought it looks like Toyota tried to merge Ford’s round Taurus styling with Ferrari’s F40 shape, on a front-engined car. (and I know it is blasphemous, but the outboard droop to the F40’s nose is a bit ‘derpy’ too.)
I have always liked the Mark III better, and consider it one of the best ‘80s Grand Touring Coupes. An A70 Mark III Supra is high on my want list... and a JZ engine swap would be quite welcome as an addition.
As for 90’s era cars... I would prefer a Z32 300ZX, or an FD-3S RX-7.
Especially with the ‘99 spec re-styled bumper covers on both.
There is even the Dodge Stealth R/T... which I think is better looking than the Mitsubishi alternative, too.
JZA-80 Mark IV Supra is a technically very nice car... but aesthetically it isn’t as handsome as it’s competitors, or it’s own predecessor.

Yeah, the late-model Mitsu GTO was the pretty one. I’m not as keen on the earlier versions.

It's not the worst looking car. It's not ugly, but it's not the prettiest either.
