They were huffing the paint. It’s probably a bit symbolic, though. Most of the metal in the Mad Max world is pretty far from chrome, all black and rusted. But in the afterlife, everything will be beautiful again.

Yea for such a dingy world seemed off to waste chrome like that … I forgot about huffing though. You’re probably right.

On the coast we’re okay, but if you go out towards the Salton Sea, you can see that we’re already part way there.
