I love this song! I didn’t realize these guys were from Sweden though. Kickass!

Yeah they’re a cool band. They played download festival while I was there, but they played early and I slept in, was gutted I missed them.

That sucks you missed them, but I’m sue Download was awesome.

Last metal show I was at was Red Fang/In Flames/Opeth back in December. In Flames absolutely killed it!

I’ll have to look for Avatar on tour, I have a feeling they would put on a good show.

In Flames were supposed to play download too but they cancelled, wish I could’ve seen them. Overall the festival was excellent though, I’d highly recommend it if you ever find yourself in the UK.

Yeah I have a ticket alert for them, nothing has come up yet. Haven’t seen much since download, the only band I’m seeing soon is the Foo Fighters, got free tickets for that.

Awesome! I like the Foo Fighters, haven’t seen them live, but I have a friend who is obsessed and she says they put on a great live performance.

Next show I’m going to is Opeth 25th Anniversary. I went to their 20th show, Evolution XX in NYC. It was allegedly the best concert I’ve been to, or so my friends told me, because I was way to shitfaced to remember. I’m going to try to stay (mostly) sober this time around.

This’ll be my first time seeing them, I’m not a huge fan but I enjoy their stuff.

Haha I try and stay sober for gigs, I mostly succeed but not always...

I’ll have to make sure I don’t do both at once though, that could cause issues.

I saw AC/DC and Rage Against The Machine at Download in 2010. I only have a vague recollection of the RATM set, for booze-based reasons, but I certainly remember enough to rank that festival towards the very top of all the live music performances I’ve been too.

I loved my time there, in terms of line up its the best festival in the country for me.

I’m jealous that you saw AC/DC I havent seen them yet.

It definitely is. I mean, Glastonbury might have it beat through sheer volume, but if we’re talking number of bands/quality of bands, Download just walks it.

AC/DC were great. They brought their own stage with them, which included a rather elaborate train prop to promote their most recent album. As with most older bands, though, you could tell people were there for the classics, and they mostly delivered on that front, thankfully.

From what I’ve seen (haven’t actually been) Glastonbury dwarfs Download in size.

Linkin Park brought their own stage when they played Download, was quite impressive to see.

Ah, yeah, I meant to say quality of bands relative to the number of bands—the slash was, perhaps, not the best choice.

I’m not the biggest fan of Linkin Park, to be honest. I had a bit of an Indie rock phase when I was younger, but I only like a pretty small subset of those bands now.

I listen to a big chunk of different stuff, I went off Linkin Park for a while but Hunting Party got me interested in them again.
