Cars with outward visibility as bad or worse than the 5th/6th gen Camaro. Everybody rags on the Camaro for it. I’m sure the Challenger is just as bad but nobody ever seems to mention it. What other cars are difficult to see out of but get a free pass?

Whats the deal with panel vans anyway? Why cant they have windows

Shelving up the sides. Stuff sliding around you don’t want ramming the Windows, busting them. Prevents prying eyes and allows a secondary lock for the compartment making it less attractive for thieves.

Windows break a lot easier than metal. Probably more expensive to put glass in than to just have sheet metal there.

Tool racks and odds are they are carrying equipment that you don't want everyone to see.

I had a hard time seeing out of the sho I test drove. Had a back up camera but I wasn’t used to it so had a hard time judging the distance.

Wait a minute, what is that Merc? Is that a next-gen SL render or what?

Because then they’d just be ‘vans’

I think is a very common problem, I’ve driven these two and they’re terrible.
It’s all over the car industry, My mom had a 89 cherokee and my dad a 98 range rover, going from that to almost any other SUV is a big change in visibility. I see a lot of mahindras going around, They’re ugly, but I always notice the side panel to window ratio, it’s huge!

Buyers carrying illegal weapons/drugs/people, expend a lot of money, the industry has to think about them! windows are dangerous!.
I’ve driven a couple of those, if I had a window back there I wouldn’t be able to use it anyway, if you’re using a cargo van you’re probably carrying a lot of stuff back there.

Just saw this. Glanced over notifications on mobile kinja to see if any locals responded saying they were at the same cruise night. It is a shame/unfair that everyone loves to single out the Camaro (or “camero” for the special folks).
