There is no rule saying I can’t take this:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
And after some paint, cleaning, etc, get it looking more like this:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Many people have done it. So why not?

If you have the cash and the time I say do it.

Sure. I’m just not sure if it’s an improvement to most Defender owners/prospects.

It looks like it needs some floorpans and some paint, a tidy of the interior and I can flip it or just use it to haul people and stuff, since there are four of us (family) and always visitors. And we can only fit five (legally) in the 520d.

They’re pretty easy to work on, and parts are easy to get. Floorpans are an easy job, either buy some new galvanised ones or just cut and weld where needed. Your main area of concern is the chassis. Do the hammer test on it, and if it deforms easily either run away, or clench your buttchecks and pull down your welding mask.

Also should make sure the bulkhead is in descent shape and not rotten. Some of the shots of the bulkhead are slightly worrying.

Although it still might be worth it because that looks like a Brownchurch roof rack on it.
