How on earth does something like this actually install on a car? I have no idea what I’m looking at here. I see a brace, and a sway bar, but how the hell does it actually connect to the parts on the car? This is a million ways removed from the sway bar on my Buick which was two rubber body mounts and a couple end links. This is a different ball game entirely.
Car is a 98 LX with no rear sway bar

If the car didn’t have a rear sway bar to begin with, you need a way to attach it to the chassis. So all the extraneous metal is probably some kind of crossbrace you bolt in to hold the swaybar. And you can see the mounts are aluminum with rubber inserts, and of course the ends have holes drilled for endlinks.
The part at the bottom is a little lip to hold the Mugen sticker. Which is the most important part.

I still have no idea how this is supposed to bolt up to my car... can’t find installation guides or instructions anywhere, or even info on if it will work with my specific car with the stock parts or if I need to get aftermarket LCAs as well. So frustrating and my google-fu is not up to the task

Part of it is a subframe reinforcement. Here’s a similar one installed.

Where are the ends of the sway bar attached to? What sort of end links? No picture I can find answers any of my questions

What kind of build is this? That seems like A LOT of sway bar for anything but a dedicated track monster.

This is me wanting something to go around corners really well without bullshitting around with aftermarket shocks and compromising ride quality *too* much. Upgrading sway bars on the Murdersofa accomplished exactly this, so I figure a monster sway bar on my Civic should do the trick to have a decent autocrossable daily driver.

you need lower control arms that have the hole for sway bars. they can be had from an SI, likely the EX also, not sure if the LX has them. I know the DX and CX didn’t

Unfortunately, that can’t happen. Both of my lower control arms are seized to the hub, and no amount of bolt loosener is getting them off.

They attach to the lower control arms. Beefier aftermarket endlinks are suggested.
