So, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and my thought (shared by a couple commenters there) that the film would have been greatly enhanced by the “Mystery Science Theatre 3000” treatment reminded me of these two gems- they appear to have been filmed either immediately or soon after the end of the War, and are unintentionally hilarious in their own right (and like a dash of seasoned salt on your side dish, Joel and the ‘bots bring out the flavor.)

In rare cinematic form, the sequel is funnier than the original. Enjoy!

It’s not even post-war, it came out in 1940.

I think one of my favorite parts (MST3k) was the progression of “I have no son”s with the grand-dad, dad, and Young Salesman. In the first part, there’s a bit where Young Salesman gets grilled by a customer on... I think Plymouth suspension, and drops the ball. If I’m not mistaken, that was when Plymouth had introduced one of the first more modern IFS setups, though with a couple quirks still present like in the shock design.
