Nissan AE86 clone?

I know Nissan made something exactly like AE86. I can’t remember what it is. Please help.

S12 Silvia and Gazelle. It came with the FJ20ET and then later the CA18DET. It looks like an AE86 but it’s turbocharged.

it should be noted that the similarity in looks is a coincidence, the AE86 and S12’s came out within 3 months of eachother.

Oh I know. They were both ‘83’s. A friend had a 200SX back in high school. (I’ve always loved the previous gen as well, as homely as they are).

Amusingly enough, I edited out a part of my comment which corrected the “clone” part of the OPs post, b/c it seemed snide. LOL.

I’m about as pedantic as it comes, so I don’t care about being snide.

I drove an Aussie Gazelle years ago, didn’t think much of it at the time.. with the CA20E they’re really a waste of a good chassis.
