Last quarter, Apple shipped a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Disclaimer: the only Apple products I’ve ever owned are an iphone 4S and ipad3. But, as a designer, I’ve been envious of everything they’ve ever been able to do.

I was hugely impressed with the design of the new Macbook.

Kinja'd!!!

To name a few things:

- It doesn’t have a fan

- The battery fills the entire bottom

- The logic board is the smallest I’ve ever seen in a computer.

Looks like this inside:

They take good photos of their manufacturing process. Lots of products you wouldn’t expect receive this sort of attention to detail in the factory.

Yeah, I try to design them. The level that Apple hits is: “holy shit.”

They built a tablet with an x86 CPU and relocated the screen to an independent body panel. That is what that is, looking at the layout.

Yay. Let's celebrate near-slave labor and abhorrent working and wage conditions for the manufacturing employees (China and Brazil, mostly) for a company that makes 50-95% profit on everything they sell.

I admire apple's ability to make a crap-ton of products that somehow appeal to the masses, but not their execution. I also despise their efforts after the fact to make it seem like they had original ideas about the designs they use, or others using similar designs before, during, and after their own. Their marketing team is amazeballs, and they don't deserve it.
