Could be worse. I once spent the better part of a night curled up on a bath mat on a cold tile floor, waking up to fits of vomiting and diarrhea. Turns out I ate some bad smoked salmon dip. It was the first time that my parents met my then-girlfriend-now-wife, so I guess it wasn't all that bad.
What sort of track are you at?

When I went in ‘13, we rented out the Ol’ Golden Nugget Lodge. It’s about 4 miles east of the speedway on Rt. 12. It was a shitty old bar/restaurant that had flopped, so the owner let people sleep in there. People slept on floors, chairs, the bar top itself. One of the rooms was a train car that was jammed up next to the building - that was the girls bunk house. I had a room known as the “sex dungeon” - it was a closet behind the bar that had a window cutout with iron bars in it, and some rickety twin bed jammed in it. I had to share the bed with a guy on the team we called “Papa bear.” Also, the water smelled like gasoline and tasted like blood. You actually got more dirty in the shower, not less.
And it was one of the most fun trips I’ve ever had.

Is that dump still standing? I swear they need to raze that thing and salt the earth, it was such a shithole. But if it’s still there, I want to go stay in it again!
