That is the CL link to the exact one we bought. It’s no Ferrari but we like it a lot. And we got it for much less than it was listed at.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Also, apparently all of my kinda issues were being caused by the default browser on my phone. Chrome works perfectly. I’m not a fan of mobile chrome, but I’ll get over that. Seriously, like holy shit, mind blown, maybe kinja isn’t as bad as I thought. Even my typing is working properly here now. Which is even more weird because it was only kinja that wasn’t working properly in the default browser. Oh well.

The black background looks seriously cool.

As much as I love this thing, I could never have one myself. Just not enough cylinders for me haha.

Not really, but I’m sure it’s plenty of fun without being a stereotypical mom fan.

How does the wife like it?

Looks pretty good! I still would have gone for a Bluetec, but that’s just me. :P

I really would like to drive one of these haha. I've always thought of them as the ultimate (stock) minivan.

How long do you think until someone puts a salvaged Hellcat motor in a Grand Caravan? I'd love to see it happen, then see it go down a drag strip with a Bisimoto Odyssey.

It’ll take about as long as it takes someone to wrap a hellcat around a tree. Even Im waiting for salvage Hellcats to appear.

I thought a few had already had that happen?

Hellcat the HEMIwagon?

Hell yeah Hellcat the HEMIWagon.

Hellcat all the Mopars!

Seriously though, I cannot wait for the Dart SRT/SRT4, I always liked the Neons.

Saw somewhere that a Hellcat Grand Cherokee is in the works. The issue is supposedly that the 4WD systems can’t handle all the power and it wouldn’t be a Jeep without 4WD I guess.

Theres a Stone White SRT4 for sale by me if you want an investment. Looks stock an unmolested as well, I just dont want another Neon, I had my fill.

The Stone White ones were the least ordered color and are pretty rare. A Stone White ACR SRT4 is super rare, only like 1400 of them, and theyre pretty beefy out of the box.

But I want something different next though, not a Mopar or Benz. Im thinking 914 1.8 or 2.0 in a year or two.

I wish, thanks though for the heads up. I bought a ‘13 Dart a month and a half ago to get me through the rest of college. Next car won’t happen for a few years, it’ll probably be a Dart SRT if I like them and they’re worth a damn.

That is really cool to know, I may hunt one down as a project/track car in a couple years for the fun and start developing some wrenching skills. Hopefully I’ll have my own driveway and garage to work out of by then.

A 914 could definitely be fun. Any thoughts on a Z or Vette?

I would love a C5 FRC with C5R headlights, or a C6 z06, but theyre just too expensive. Between the Magnum and SL I want something smaller, lighter and manual. A Z wouldnt be too bad, but around here good ones are really hard to find, much less afford.

Im also picky and like having “budget” collector cars in my garage. Combined Ive spent about $30k between both cars and all the work associated. Im looking for a unique car thats cheaper on a regular basis, the 914 seems to fit the bill with some basic mods.

Neons are super easy to fix, I did lots of work on mine because I had the time to, but now with a new job I have much less time. I didnt mod mine, just maintained it. Its an okay car, it was manual which I do miss, but overall it had plenty of issues. For a track car, get a first gen car and a second gen motor. Lighter body, better rust proofing and the second gen motors are pretty durable. Timing belt is an issue, but the same goes for many other cars. Bushings rot out quick, but theres a huge aftermarket selection for them. Ive seen sleeper cars up to 550HP on an SRT4 motor that was fully built from the ground up. The T850 trans and beefier gears helped that car as well. They can be monsters if you put the money into them.

Sounds like you found your car then. It is very hard to find an unmolested or tastefully done Z car anymore for not stupid money. C5 prices are pretty high still too.

That sounds like I could have a ton of relatively cheap fun. I might just do that in a few years, Neons are dirt cheap. I've seen some of the aftermarket stuff and it's impressive how big the community is which would be a boon to me if I start building a car in my spare time. A little monster sleeper would be a hoot.

Hands down the best online resource for neons is neons.org. Sometimes I still post in threads, I had my red SXT for 5 years before it got totaled, so I got pretty familiar with it and did my share of fixes to it.

The for sale section has plenty of cars, parts and overall the forum has the best knowledge out there regarding Neons.

V8’s are definitely for plebs. These are almost identical underneath to ML/GL, FYI. So they don’t drive like a van at all, but like a high end SUV.

She absolutely loves it.

They’re great for a “van”. I love that underneath they’re just as much of a truck as an ML/GL. Real differentials and transfer case. And with 300hp it moves pretty good.

Definitely what I wanted to do, but my timetable for getting a new car didn’t allow me the freedom to wait to find one with the right options and service history. V8 is the next best thing.

Agreed. Honestly it’s one of the main reasons I drove 45 minutes to look at this one. They said they have a professional photographer on staff. It shows.

If that much effort was put into just photos for the ad I would guess it was mechanically fine also.

Just shy of mechanically perfect actually. The right front outer axle boot is leaking just a little bit. But it’s so minute that it could’ve started after they inspected it. Aside from not having a nav disc or spare key, and one tire being mismatched because the matching replacement was on order I found nothing else wrong.
