And I parked in the truck section. It seems there is always a truck section when I go shopping.

Kinja'd!!!

PS: I need to upgrade my struts as soon as possible, my ride quality has gone from floaty to moon boots

Yo dawg I heard you like chrome, so we added some chrome to accent some other chrome so you can have chrome to look at your reflected chrome.

My suspension is shot, I think the struts are original (aka 108k miles and 21 years old). Anything would be better. Im thinking of going with monromatic HDs

Monro-Matic is terrible. Please buy real shocks. Bilstein HD’s are the best, but Monroe’s Reflex are supposed to be ok too. KYB MonoMax and Gabriel Max Control are also decent choices. If you’re really cheap and poor, there’s the Gabriel Ultra.

I’ve put KYBs on my Dodge. They’re supposed to be a great value and give better than OE feel. Of course I put them on the Dodge and stored it 2 months later so I really never got to brake them in, but the ride was much better. Might have something to do with the factory (50 years old) shocks could be moved back and fourth with two pinkie fingers.

Oreillys has KYB Ultras for $60 a strut. RockAuto has em for $25 a strut. Even if I end up working at Oreillys and get an employee discount, I think I’ll order them from rock auto.

Rock Auto is good, but you should also check out shox.com

All Shox has for my gen Ranger is a set of 4 bilsteins for $289.99. I cant afford that right now, I think I’ll do a set of KYB’s for $100 (roughly) from rockauto. Plus (eventually) I’d like to do a full coil over conversion and lower the truck. So no point in spending money on performance struts that I’d take out in the next 5 years.

Ah, I see. Sorry, it just seems cheap to me because even regular Monroe/KYB/Gabriel struts for my car cost more than Bilsteins for your truck! (they’re not available for the 95-99 Maxima/I30) and Koni and Tokico adjustables cost over $600!

Just be glad you have a truck where shocks are so cheap! Shit, I can’t even get a set of Chinese SenSens for $100!
