Wing = grounded to the ground

No wing = pretty much part of the Earth’s crust!

I find that hard to believe with out it the handling balance would suffer severely unless the front was redone to reduce downforce as well.

Really? Source? I know Nissan had planned the GT-R LM that way and has ended up with a wing anyway, but I can’t imagine the Toyota was ever really intended to run that way. Maybe they’re doing some wind tunnel testing to see what’s possible in the wake of Nissan’s bombshell, but I’d imagine it would greatly destabilize the car by moving the center of pressure too far forward.

They posted the picture on Twitter . Of course that it could be a joke.

That would make sense, trolling Nissan a bit.

Anything that makes actual race cars look a little more like they belong in Speed Racer is alright by me.

If so, I hope they chop that rear wing support off and make the fin look more elegant. I can’t imagine that dangling support would be good for drag under yaw, or anything really.
