I’m downloading Win 10 Insider Preview now, I’ll run it alongside Win 8 and Win 7 so I don’t expect any major problems if Win 10 turns out to be difficult to work with (and I only use this computer to test Windows updates anyway). But is there anything I should be aware of? Common stuff that does not work or crash in Win 10 and so on?

What type of system? There are some issues, at least on the Surface Pro 3s with Hibernation. Some people have had BitLocker issues, I haven’t. Some have issues with MUI Apps closing randomly, typically Preview MS ones. I use it as a DD and have little issues.

The latest current builds are pretty stable, but there's been a few driver issues here and there, but that's child's play to resolve, and easier if using a desktop. The Consumer Preview is supposed to be coming veeeeeeery soon, and full 10 supposedly as soon as July, so you may just want to wait for full 10.

I kinda need to learn stuff about Win 10 prior to release though.. I’ve got customers that HATE win 8 and they are waiting for Win 10. My main problem now is that I can’t figure out how to bloody install Win 10, my computer simply won’t boot from USB, not in UEFI OR LEGACY mode..

I ran the Win 10 preview for a few months and everything worked pretty well. I got so used to it that going back to Win 8 was painful.

I’m having major issues.. no mouse, no browser... yeah.. you name it. I’ve made a horrible mistake.

Clean install, or upgrade? I did an upgrade on my laptop and had no issues. No browser could make things tough...

Clean install and upgrade, two different computers, same issues.

It’s working now.. don’t ask me how or why though... after five or six reboots it just started working.

Can you burn the ISO to a CD and boot from there? I had to do that with my HP/Compaq laptop to get 10on I, though after a few weeks I went back to 8.1.

I’ve been running it for a few moths. In my experience, everything that worked on 8.1 works on 10.

When I booted via USB it needed to be FAT32, something with the SecureBoot and UFI BIOS of the SP3

Yeah, I figured out after some time. Win 10 is a bit buggy, but it’s still better then Win 8 :P
