I can’t take someone seriously who writes like this:

The exclusivity of this vehicle is only matched by the breadth of its 6 speed standard shift. 620 Horses thwarted towards the road via the driver’s own intuition makes for an unparalleled driving zenith, accomplishable only in a Ferrari.

Very nice car though.

$550K? Holy shit...I still really want it though. I didn't know they only brought 20 manual ones here.

I’m guessing it was Google translated. Sure reads like it, anyways

Wow, I think this person blindly replaced every word in the sentence with the 2nd to last synonym in the thesaurus with no idea what the word means.

$550k for a GTB? Tell him he’s dreamin’.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-59…

I love the manual but people I trust tell me it is not well-matched to the motor in this car, and they can be had for under $175k all day long. If you want a gated-shifter FR V12 F-car, the 550 is the way to go.

The last manual one I saw sold at auction for $600k

But I would agree, get a 550 and a Ford GT. Plus maybe a used 997 Turbo

$90k for a nice 550

$300k for a FGT

$100k for a nice 997 Turbo

And...... $60k on a nice NSX?

Oh, I’m sure they command a premium. It’s just not what I would do with my money.

I like the way you think. How about that last $60k on an E63 wagon? Then you can haul ass as well as everything else.

This car will only go up in value. You’re looking at our generations 250 Lusso GT

I couldn’t disagree more. Maybe because I just saw and stood right next to a real 250 GT Lusso a few weeks ago at my Italian car mechanic, and there was a 599 there at the same time. I like the 599, but c’mon. Maybe the LaFerrari or Enzo will be a Lusso, but probably not - just not sexy enough.

Or a heavily modified Evo IX and an RB26 swapped R32 sedan. Fast families.

Or build an LSX E39T

On another note, I don’t think the 458 Specialé will be a big collector’s car some time in the future either. History has shown us that special/performance versions of cars often have their values dragged down by their standard variants

I mean, a manual is fun and all, but you could nearly buy two F12’s for the same price. And they’re much faster than a GTB.

Plus, once you get into a fast enough car, the manual will just be a drag. At track days, you’ll be outrun by old men in their F1 599’s.

If you’re buying as a collector, however, it’s totally worth it.

As much as I love the 599 and manuals, $550,000 would be too much even if I were Bill Gates levels of rich. At that point, I’d just order a custom Zonda...which you can still do.

But the Lusso is/was a GT car not a borderline race car (e.g. Enzo or Laferrari)

Either way it doesn’t matter as I will never own a Ferrari. If I had the money I think I would go McLaren just because they get me, you know.
