Thanks! He did get bored after about an hour. I took him to a kids go kart series race recently and he wasn’t interested in that very much either. I was hoping he would want to get into it.

Watching racing is hard for a kid. Maybe once he gets a taste of what it’s like behind the wheel he’ll come around. Do he have a little Power Wheels yet?

I’d always been kind of opposed to them, thinking kids should always be riding bikes or tricycles, but I broke down and got them one a while back (before my son was too big for it), and they have a lot of fun hauling around the empty lot next to our place, and they still love riding their bikes, too.

Here’s a recent one of my 2.5 year old doing her best to hoon my Fairlane:

And in a very gracious grandpa’s (not hers) ‘57 Nomad at our local Oktoberfest show last year:

She gets up on Sundays and asks to watch racing with daddy. It doesn’t last long, but it’s cool. She loves her Hot Wheels, too.

Girl #2 is on the way, so I’l have 2 little ones to take to shows soon enough. My wife is an amazing woman, we gave her a great day yesterday.
