Watch in awe how the driver swerves through the traffic, runs red lights and does all he can to drive as quickly as possible in an urban, traffic-laden environment.
According to some sources, he drove almost 5 miles in just under 6 minutes, hopefully to a hospital and a happy ending. Props to the other drivers as they didn’t hesitate a second to get out of the way.
This apparently happened in Budapest, Hungary. (Maybe Máté is able to shed some light on this part.)

This is amazing — I’m more in awe of the drivers who get out of the way. Here in the U.S. people don’t even know where to go when an emergency vehicle is trying to wedge through traffic. The biggest problem is that they don’t understand that the first thing you try to do is to try to clear the left-most lane as much as possible, if the left-most lane cannot be exited, than slow down and move as far left as possible to widen a clear, safe gap for the emergency vehicle.
And if the emergency vehicle is not in the left-most lane, move right if at all possible. Things just get worse with people entering the highway and they all suck at merging. All hell breaks loose then.

Is that a Sprinter? He’s really hauling ass in those corners...balls of steel. Looks like most drivers are alert enough to GTFO, but that’s Europe for you.

I feel like this video is sped up. Or is that ambulance considerably smaller than others? Because that thing must have some carbon fiber somewhere.
