Who in Colorado wants their ride filmed?

I like cars. I’m a cinematographer. I combined the two. Over the winter I put together this street legal setup, dialed it in on safety and functionality, and am looking to get some cars in the shots. Sooooo.... Any fellow Jalops in Colorado (I’m in Boulder) interested in getting together for some 1 - 2 hour filming sessions? Golden hour is awesome, so after work hours are great as well as weekends.

Below is a quick 20 minute test session we did that got pushed waaaay back past usable light, so we turned it in to an extreme low light test of the crazy sensitive Sony A7s. No time to do any shot choreography, so we came out with a lot of repetitive shots.

Fun story on this shoot is it was close to a Lockheed facility. We got a little closer to the gate then planned, and we had an Outback with no plates swoop down on us while we were parked, snap shots of our license plates then peel off the second I got out to talk to the guy. Fun part was the camera was facing him and filming. I got a good look at the guy, did a LinkedIn search for Lockheed - Security - Colorado. Sure enough there was the dude in the car, so I sent him an invite. Haven’t heard back for some reason.

Actually that sounds cool. I’d love to have my truck filmed. I bet my brother would too, hes a student at CU boulder, but he’ll be on vacation until mid june.

I feel like your truck would make a good subject for a shot like this. The video in the OP is really cool, but with that late model Audi in it it looks a lot like a typical car commercial. Something like that with a sweet Ranger though… I’d like to see that.

I’m in Boulder as well. I’m the organizer for the Coffee N Cars meet in Lafayette. We have a bunch of guys that do drives after coffee ect. Let me know if it’s something you would be interested in, I’m sure you could find a few interested people at the next meet.

Awesome. Puddles in town is hit or miss, but there’s a spot in Broomfield everyone raves about. I forget what the name is, but can find out when you get to town.
