I know that there was a kerfuffle about NSFW here, but this should be allowed. Damn I want a P1

No, my friend. The current hypercars don’t strike my fancy. It may be a sign that I’m getting old but I miss the involvement that supercars used to demand. Take for instance the Carrera GT. You didn’t just jump in it and start exploring its performance limits aimlessly. You had to learn to tame it. It didn’t ask you to be a better driver, it required it of you. It’s the car you drive not because you want to show off but because you want to know what true driving pleasure is and what it means to be have a deep emotional connection to a machine. The first few times you drive a Carrera GT you will be frustrated, angry, and even a bit scared. However, as you continue to drive it, you will begin to fall into a rhythm or flow with it and start to crave your next drive. Soon, you’ll begin making excuses just to drive it. To hear that engine scream to redline, to feel the steering as it dances around in your hands, to smell the crisp air as it rushes past your open roof. And then, once it has pushed your personal abilities to the limit for that particular day, you can guide it into your garage, shut it off, and just lean back in your leather covered throne and relax to the sound of pinging catalytic converters as your built up adrenaline slowly dissipates. After a few minutes, you’ll decide its time to leave and so you’ll slowly pull the door release handle, slid yourself out, and start towards the door leading to the main living area of your home. However, just as you open the door and step over its sill, you’ll turn back one last time to fondly admire the understatedly aggressive yet genuinely beautiful silhouette you are leaving behind and smile because you’ll know that it won’t be long until the two of you are reunited once again.
In short, I think the 3 modern hypercars are terrific vehicles that are capable of amazing feats and have no doubt that they would trounce something like a Carrera GT in every convincible performance measure. That being said, if given the choice between my old CGT and a new 918, I would still choose the CGT every time because I know it would remind me every single day why I love these wonderfully crafted machines called automobiles. In essence, you buy the 918 with your head but the CGT with your heart.
Sorry for the long narrative but I sometimes begin writing and just spin off into a tangent. Hopefully, at least some of it makes sense.

I don’t know. I actually quite like the look of the LaF’s engine. Also, I find it funny that you used an image of an Enzo with an aftermarket KW suspension.
Here’s a photo with the stock suspension and exhaust and transmission visible.

Personally, I’ve always been a fan of the 250’s simplicity:

That's one of the best replies I've ever read on this site. If you didn't mention that you owned a CGT I would share it to Oppo just because it deserves to be read by more eyes than mine. I know you value your privacy, so I won't...but wow. There aren't many people who understand cars the way you do.

See, that’s my problem with the new hypercars. They’re TOO practical. They’re too easy to drive. They are fast, yes, but there’s no passion.

Thank you for the kind words and for thinking of my privacy, my friend. I’ve definitely been blessed to have experienced some amazing vehicles over the years and I’m glad to share my experiences with individuals like yourself.

Very true. In my opinion, the CGT is the perfect performance machine because of its faults, not in spite of them.

Haha. I can’t argue with that.

So thats why they don’t let you lift the hood.
The P1 is still my favorite of the 3 hybrid super cars ….but the Huayra is art everywhere.

It’s not a true Supercar if it’s perfect. The flaws make, not break, the cars. I’m pretty sure the engineers built the entire car perfectly, then said “Lets give it a fickle clutch, just to make it a little more interesting”
