To celebrate the day that’s in it, meet a Scania GR905.
To save anyone asking, it’s a gearbox used as you would expect on Scania trucks. Depending on model, it’s either an 8+1 or a 12+2 box. Say again? One model has a five speed main box with high and low range. The lowest of the five is a crawler gear (the +1) which is only used in low range. The other has a four speed main box with high/low range and a splitter. Again the lowest of the four main gears is a crawler.
To the possible surprise of American truck drivers it is, like all manual truck gearboxes in Europe, synchromesh.
