Sure, I live a two minute walk from the nearest grocery store, two minutes from a kebab shop, a pizza place and a nice pub.. But I miss having a car (I’ve been without one two whole days :P ).
Hopefully I’ll get the Saab within a week or so...
I’ll get some pictures of it when it arrives..
until then, have some nineties punk music.

I guess you could say that not having a car is…
Saad.
(joke stolen off the FP)

Indeed you could ;)

Not having a car is terrible! I don’t give a rat’s ass about walkability, I’m tired of not being able to drive.

So, you’re getting a Saab 9000 CD? Saabs are great here in Norway if you’re in for a cheap car, looked at them when searching for my first car myself.

I'm gonna make this awk but whatev. Only thing worse is having a 365 hp WRX that you can't drive because your epilepsy is being a total asshole the past ten months

Yeah, 1995 9000 2.0 CD. 5000 NOK. With just 168k on the clock.

Yeah.. the last 15 years I’ve always had at least one car.. so this is kinda strange.

That sounds brilliant, any rust? A friend of mine had a 900 of the same vintage that he bought for the same amount of money and drove it way past 300.000km without too much issues.

I’m sure there’s SOME rust, it’s an old car, but no visible rust on the body. The exhaust does have a tiny leak somewhere, and it needs new wire for the handbrake, but that’s about it really.
The guy I’m buying it from (a buddy of mine) have had the car since 2008 and he’s the type that takes good care of everything he owns.

Jeez man, I’ve had enough of your Saab stories. Everyone has it hard(like a rock). You just need to get a pathfinder that will break you out of that depressing cube. Find someone who wants to see you Maximize your Altimate potential, someone positive and Versa tile you can take Notes from. When Rouges and Muranos come into your life, you have to Juke them out of the way, or you’ll never GT-r’done!

Sooo.. I should get a Nissan? Again? I thought three Bluebirds and a Cherry would be enough.

It's all good! Gf has an impreza and drives me where I need to go!

Only €500? That would hardly buy you a bag of chips in Norway.

Quite a few of those aren’t available on this side of the Atlantic though!
Now, what can you do with, say, Qashqai and Micra?

A tad over €500.. but yeah, it’s cheap.. And I resent that remark about bag of chips.. firstly I don’t buy chips in a bag.. Crisps though I buy in bags, and you’ll get WAY more than one bag.. probably four.. :P

I have lived at least 20 years without a car, it sucks. At least we have decent Metro and bus service, and I encounter my friends on it, but rush hour is a pain.

Wow.. 20 years? You live in New York or something? I’d say you could not live where I live without a car, sure you could walk to the shops and stuff.. but there’s no way you’d get to work without a car (or a bike).

Montreal. My family had a Cutlass Supreme until I was a few years old, and when we got it recycled, we realized we really didn’t need a car. Ironically, my love of cars began at that time.

Sold it a while back, couldn’t afford the parts to fix it.. It’s in Finland now as far as I know.
