Okay, probably not all that deep. But they’re thoughts. Mustang thoughts. Enjoy.

Not bad, Andy! I love how you completely ignore the V6.

I want one of those Ecoboost 4 pots for my Capri.

The same crappy engine they stuffed on the mazda3, known to have lower end issues, no thanks

I’d love to put one in a Locost/Lotus Super 7 kit car.

I don’t want to be that guy but you can get the V8 in Europe.

Crap. Top Gear lied to me. I’ll have to go in and fix that. I knew I should have checked.

Haha! Thanks. Yeah, I asked my boss and he said to just focus on the GT and the EB, so here we are.

I’ve heard conflicting stories here. Some say it’s a brand new 2.3, but Mr. Regular says it’s the same one.

I wouldn't want that engine for something so precise and potentially twitchy, it offers quite a bit of it's grunt with barely any throttle usage, then barely more when you floor it.

They do seem pretty pricey as well:

Honestly, I’d be completely happy with the 3 cylinder ecoboost or GM’s new Small Gasoline Engine (3 or 4 cylinder). Unfortunately they don’t seem to offer either as a crate engine.

That was what I thought as well but according to Ford UK website it says the ecoboost or the V8 is available.

Only engineers in Ford have the true answer and they will not talk publicly, the PR will say is a brand new engine. Im sure it has lots of updates, but as for me, I will stay away from anything derived from that 2.3, 2.5. Mazda engine
