Outside of town there is a shop that has a showroom of a lot of old Porsche 911s of varying generations. I finally managed to stop by when they were open.
Most of the cars in the showroom have a layer of dust, and the sign says “buy, sell, trade, repair” and there are large garage doors around back.
I asked what was available for sale; nothing had price tags on it. I was pointed to a 911 (964) C2 which was black on black. With gaffer tape holding up/on a few of the body panels. Some were dusty, some were clean-ish. I was told it was €27,000. And that was all that was for sale.

Yup, I know over here 911’s are SERIOUSLY overpriced. I mean, they are great cars, and I wish I had bought one 10 years ago. I could sell it today for 2-3x what I would have paid.

so i’m guessing car sales is not their primary source for income?

People are going crazy for air-cooled 911’s right now. 964’s with 150k miles and a respray are selling for $40k+ as long as they are manual coupes. 10 years ago you could of bought a museum quality RS America for that.

I found my boss his ‘93 RSA for $33k about 8 years ago, needing some love and with over 80k miles. It’s worth well over double that now. It’s just nuts.
