So I was doing my usual morning routine of walking the lot and checking out all of yesterday’s fresh trade-ins when I saw this Charger.
Sweet! A Super Bee!
Then as I walked around the car things didn’t quite add up. The Super Bee was a rather basic package with all the high-performance bits (6.4 liter Hemi engine, upgraded suspension, etc) but none of the luxury stuff, and this one had heated leather seats, GPS, and heated and cooled cup holders. Also the Super Bee design in the seats wasn’t there.
Left: A genuine Super Bee interior. Right: This car’s interior.
Yep, something’s fishy.
So then I popped the hood.
LIES!
No one likes a poser.

I don’t get why people do this. Anyone thats knows the difference (and would be impressed) between a SRT and a RT would know its not a SRT.

Could have been the V6...
Im putting Scat Pack decals on my Magnum RT, Stage 1 is just a CAI, which I do have.
Im a Wood Boring Rumble Bee. Big, heavy, but hella scary and faster than you expect.

I think Doug wrote about this poser crap before. The only people who care about the badging are the people who know it’s fake lol.

You popped the hood? Good way to lose a finger around these parts...

Agreed, hate when I see this. People think it’s limited to BMWs with fake M Badges or Mercedes with fake AMG badges but it extends to many other brands including Dodge. I’ve seen a CTS with V badging, Camry’s with TRD badges and a regular Jeep with SRT8 badges.
As a matter of fact I was driving down a long road with my friend and I saw a car with some Bentley headlights in the distance so I tell him “Hey check out this Bentley coming up” and when we finally got close it was an old gen 300C I immediately was like “Uh wtf why the hell would you do that? Is this the feeling you want to get from people who look at your car? Excitement than disappointment that your a poser?” My friend was just laughing about it the whole time.

Yeah, our guys aren’t idiots. They knew what it was.

Actually the only reason I opened the hood was to see if it was a V6. I knew it wasn’t an SRT within seconds of looking at it.

I have never understood this. Badges dont make your car faster. Your fooling no one.

Didn’t the Super Bee come with the 5.7 at some point? I don’t know the years but I thought it did, maybe the previous generation.

They did have a previous generation Super Bee but it also used the SRT powertrain. You may be thinking of the Daytona which had the regular 5.7 Hemi.

I think I was

Chargers are about the biggest amount of posing cars I can think of.
The worst offender was an Avenger I saw with a 5.7 HEMI badge in the fenders.
